Ivan Miklos, Martin Smatana, Michal Vasecka: The recovery plan for Slovakia

The global pandemic of COVID-19 has fundamentally reshaped many aspects of our society. European Union has responded to this crisis with the largest stimulus package ever financed in Europe. A total of €1.8 trillion will help rebuild a post-COVID-19 Europe.

Slovakia has requested a total of €6.6 billion in grants under the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
How should these funds be used to transform Slovak economics, healthcare and society?

We will try to answer these questions in the discussion with the former Slovak Finance Minister Ivan Mikloš, a prominent sociologist and public intellectual Dr Michal Vašečka, and healthcare analyst Martin Smatana (An alumnus of Exeter College, Oxford).

Speakers

  • Ivan Mikloš, Slovak Finance Minister Ivan Mikloš
  • Michal Vašečka, prominent sociologist and public intellectual
  • Martin Smatana, healthcare analyst
