Do we know what we want from EU after 17 years?

Online discussion on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Slovakia’s accession to the European Union. 71 years ago, French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman presented a plan that laid the foundations for the creation of the European Union. Since then, the Union has undergone many changes. How have all these crises marked it so far? How do Slovaks perceive the Union today and how do they imagine it in the future? Does it make sense for them to take part in discussions on the future of the Union?

Speakers

Martin Klus, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovak Republic
Michal Vašečka, sociologist and program director Bratislava Policy Institute
Ladislav Miko, Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia
