Human Forum 2020 – Is it possible to reach general equality in the society?

The main content since the beginning of the history of the HUMAN FORUM event is the search for an answer to the question of whether democracy in Slovakia and in Europe is in danger. The development of democracy is influenced by various factors, and every year we pay attention to those which resonate the most across our society.

HUMAN FORUM 2020 will focus on equality as a universal human right. The aim of our events was not and is not to offer ready-made answers to the questions raised. Our ambition is to provide a space for the expression of opinions and arguments for various groups in society, to involve them in a discussion about what our society should look like and what we can do as citizens for it. These current issues will be discussed by the forum participants without prejudice, without hate speech and without conjecture based solely on impressions and emotions. The peculiarity of this event is that it has the ambition to unite the academic, political and civic public. The NOT IN OUR CITY civic initiative, which is the main organizer of the HUMAN FORUM event, has declared the need for mutual tolerance and knowledge between races, nations and different religions since the beginning of its operation.
