TALK: Distrust of the Citizens has its rationale

What is the state of Slovakia? Where has the authority of public institutions gone? Why and when do we trust the state? What does a citizen in Slovakia really mean for the state? The answers are provided by a panel discussion, which took place within the program of the final conference on the NP PARTI project in August 2020 in Bratislava. If you want to learn what relationship our state has with civil society, in what condition is the third sector in Slovakia, or what is the role of civil society in the process of healing society and the state, read the seventh volume of the series Choreography of Change.

Speakers

  • Jana Plichtová, social psychologist
  • Martin Giertl, Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic for the Development of Civil Society
  • Vladimír Ledecký, former mayor of Spišský Hrhov and present secretary at the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic
  • Michal Vašečka, sociologist, Bratislava Policy Institute
