Visegrad Insight—Res Publica Foundation is a European think tank dedicated to promoting democratic values and ensuring democratic security in Poland and Central European countries. Our project aims to improve public and expert-level discussions on democracy and EU values while fostering collaboration in civil society. We will achieve this by engaging citizens in a strategic foresight process focused on potential scenarios related to the electoral process. Our project fills the gap in inclusive participation, particularly for people with disabilities, women, and Roma communities who are vulnerable and underrepresented in democratic engagement across the region. Through workshops, consultations, and scenario-building exercises involving civil society stakeholders, we will facilitate constructive public debate and generate a more positive and inclusive voice. We will also disseminate the findings widely among civil society actors, opinion leaders, academia, think-tankers, and policy-makers at the EU and CEE state levels. Our core focus is to provide new perspectives and informed findings that raise awareness of the Democracy Action Plan, EU Citizenship Report 2020, the EU rule of law, gender-related policies, and citizen engagement. By promoting citizens’ understanding of EU integration and countering the deteriorating state of public debate, we aim to strengthen support for EU democratic values in the region.
